Renewal and head fried with all options just afraid will miss some vital element somewhere! so any help much appreciated :)

We are currently with Aviva (Irish Life)

I am on Level 2 Health excess 150 - €1,360
Maternity and semi private room in private hospital priority for me
Himself - Select Plus - €919 - priority semi private room private hospital, history of back problems previous surgeon at hermitage hopefully all sorted now but like to air on side of caution.
Day to day not a priority

The following 2 alternative plans with VHI are worth considering for yourself.

1. VHI PMI 44 16; price 1050; all public, private and hi-tech hospitals covered, private/hi-tech excess 150 per admission or day case.
2. VHI PMI 43 16; price 1136; all public, private and hi-tech hospitals covered, private/hi-tech excess 150 per admission, 50 per day case. Good day to day cover included on this plan.

There is no cheaper plan than Select Plus with similar cover including a private room in a private hospital.
The nearest equivalent would also include cover for Blackrock Clinic and Mater Private plus all the public and private hospitals not on Select Plus,
which is VHI PMI 44 16, price 1050. If he's happy with the level of cover at the moment, there's no need to switch.

The above VHI plans also include good maternity cover.
