Try "Barkeeper's Friend" it's a fine abrasive powder that will remove the most stubborn of stains. failing that try some "T Cut" (as used for restoring car paintwork) - it's abrasive and contains a wax which will help buff out any surface discoloration. Let me know if this helps.
