Hi,

Just getting a room painted in our new house. The siting room has a live wire hanging out (it is protected with a plastic thing on the end). I'd say it was meant for a wall light or something similar.

Anyhow is there anything i can do with it, If i take the plastic thing off the end i might be able to push it back inside the wall, but I would be worried if it were still live.

Any suggestions are appreicated.

Cheers,

Michelle

1. Switch off at the fusebox.
2. Check to see if there is a box set in the wall behind the plaster.
3. If there is, push the wire, complete with the plastic thing, into the box.
4. If there is no box, fit one and push wire into the box as in 3.
5. Fit blanking plate to box.
6 Switch on at fusebox.
