Anyone know the beat way to remove lime from a steam iron......everytime I push the steam button I get a lime deposit on the clothes..............

Put a solution of half vinegar and half water into the water chamber and leave the iron overnight. Then switch it on to steam and holding the iron over the sink the dirt comes out of the holes on the soleplate. Sometimes if the iron is badly scaled you might need to repeat the descaling.

Normal vinegar?????Like you put on your chips?????

Yup. Normal vinegar does SO much more than add flavour to chips :) I use it for cleaning glass, removing mildew, limescale removal ... the uses are endless!

Thanks for that, Pat - even more uses for vinegar than I thought! Now, does anyone know where I can buy it by the gallon?;)
