Removal of paw marks

Anyone any simple effective solution.

All along the doors at both sides - washing and rubbing hard with a cloth has not removed them.

What made the original mark? Dirt / Grass?

I usually wipe down with a wet cloth with washing up liquid on it.
 
Paint the doors would cost a fortune Jack and is'nt the remedy for me.

It's either sun tan lotion on kid's hands or oil on hands of mechanic.

Would vinegar work ?
 
Have you tried a little dab of petrol on a soft cloth? Those bug/tar removers are all petroleum based.
 
depends on what finish is on the doors, white spirits might work but not if they are varnished.
 
Talking about car doors here not house doors.

Will try a drop of petrol on a cloth this evening.
