Removal of fire surround

I have an open fire . A few years ago we had a door fitted to it. We would like to change the surround but the frame around the fire on which the door is attached to seems to be attached to the old fire surround. Does anyone know how we could remove the frame to remove the fire surround please
 
Without seeing what's in place it's very difficult to advise. The only person who can easily answer this is whoever installed the frame, anyone else will likely just be guessing if the fixture points aren't obvious.
