What do people suggest with regard to moving. Would you hire a van and do it yourself or hire a removal company. We have a quote of €550 plus VAT for contents of 3 bed semi d, in Dublin, moving about 3 miles.
id say a lot depends on how rushed you are and if you can get someone to help with the heavy lifting. if you can move out over a few days, you can rent a transit type van for about 100 per 24 hours.regardless of the cost, i would prefer that to a removal co. as you dont need to pack/unpack all your stuff in one go which hopefully would be less traumatic and if anything gets broken or goes missing, noone else is responsible.
