Relocating to budapest

Hi

I am considering selling up in ireland and moving to budapest for a few years. My plan would be to teach English in budapest, I would try and get a morning job in a school and teach privately in my apartment in the afternoon, so location and space would be paramount.

I am looking for information on the best locations and prices I could expect to pay to purchase an apartment, I reckon my budget would be something over a 100 k euro.

Prices vary alot, even on the same street.

100K would be about 30M forint, which is a decent enough budget for central Budapest. I don't know much about the teaching situation, but I do know it's not very well paid. You might be lucky with a school if you have decent experience, but don't expect to make a good living teaching English to locals.

If I were you, I'd reduce your apartment budget to around 25M and use the rest to live of for a year or two.
