I am considering opening one with NUK, @4% and dirt exempt for me, so its very attractive. Wish it was a fixed rate, so what are the risks of the rate tumbling dramatically, over the next 15 months.

DIRT exempt? Nobody can tell regarding rate but its the best around at moment so I'd go for it. I already had one and completed the 15 months allowed

Same here... people were questioning the motives/rate intentions of Nationwide UK Ireland back when I opened my account with them at the very start and now it's complete and I'm out the other side.

You can make up to 2 withdrawals without penalty. You can also reduce the monthly amount.

Hence, if the rate drops significantly you can pull all your money and reduce your contributions thereafter. You are not locked as such.

Like the others have said, go for this Nationwide UK (Ireland) product, it is a great rate.
