Registration plates >120,000.

I noticed a couple of cars in recent days with 'unusual' number plates.

In one case it was 08 D, the other 10 D. In both cases, the number part of the registration was 120xxx.

I'm sure 120K weren't registered in Dublin in either of those years. Is something different being done with registration plates ? Imports ?

Imports.

Imports get numbers 120K and above. Just the government pandering to SIMI so that imports can be easily spotted and devalued by their members.

Yeah pity the MPH on the speedo isn't easy to spot.

Thats a joke. They all come from the same manufacturing plant. I have an import from UK and would not take much from someone trying to tell me its not as good as one originally bought in Ireland. If anything its the reverse, better specs always available in UK.
