Registering a Domain Name

I am looking to register a domain name. Yahoo seems to be the cheapest, I was just wondering does anyone know whether I would have to stick with Yahoo for service providing as well? I would like to register before Christmas nad then after Christmas set up the web site, but would prefer to have it hosted by one of the Irish companies. Also recommendations for companies for registering a domain name?

These can be kept as separate transactions so you can have your domain name registered with one company, and your hosting service provided by another.

You also don't have to subsequently renew your domain name with the original company (i.e. Yahoo) next time around if you can find someone with a cheaper price again.

This transaction is some basic and simple that the best thing is to go specifically for price, rather than any other considerations.

GoDaddy.com is the cheapest at $9.20 for a .com domain name.

I use godaddy myself and I've not had a problem with them. And they are cheap.
