Refurb of small bathroom

I hope this is the correct forum. Sorry its long but here goes.....

I haveev a tiny bathroom (approx 6 ft square) that needs to be done up. Id welcome views on a couple of things (I've seen good feedback here before).

Its presently a shower-room only, on the upstairs return with no room to extend (unless I build on). Based on previous advice here (and on the fact that I will sell in next few years) I intend to re-instate a bath in the room so as not to lose potential buyers - its a 3 bed terraced house close to city centre that would probably appeal to young couples, etc.

Fitting in the bath can be done as there was one there before - getting in a toilet and full sized basin will be the problem. The rest of the house is in v good nick so I want to do a fairly high quality job to compensate for the small size.

First query - I can either try some kind of sliding door (in a bathroom? hardly ideal) or alternatively just change the direction of the door so that it opens out rather than in (again, not ideal but as its on a return, oncomers will have ample chance of seeing someone opening the door).
Comments welcome....any option Im missing?

Second query is whats a reasonable price in current climate - work would include

1. removing shower tray and enclosure
2. moving WHB to new spot in the room
3. putting new bath in place - the existing elertric shower will be retained over the bath
4. toilet remains as is
5. new tiling all around (having ripped out what is there) - its such a small space that there isnt a huge amount to tile!
6. replacing the hopeless towel rail radiator with an old style small rad that will give off some proper heat.

With this plan the only items to purchase (apart from piping etc and tiles) will be the bath, which need not be expensive. I understand that the attic retains the pipework (and sufficient tank capacity) necessary for a bath.

Third (optional) query. If my budget will stretch to it, I also want to remove the existing ceiling to open up to the original slope of the return - and insert a velux. I think lots of light will again distract from small size, and there is hardly any natural light at the minute. Any ideas how much Im adding for this?

Any ballpark ideas of what I should expect by way of quotes? Ideally Id like a plumber/small builder who could also deal with the velux.

many thanks

Sam
