Refunds - how long

Just wondering, our taxes were done via ros and submitted. Talked to Revenue this morning and we are on the system, but it is "in line" and I guess at the Collector Generals.after which the info is onto Sligo for the cheque writing. It will have been submitted a week ago today. How long till we receive a cheque? Should we expect before Easter, though they say allow 6 weeks. I'm hoping that we get it before government decides they can't refund money ! On average how long has it taken to get refunds?

Assuming you affairs are straight forward should be no more than 6 weeks.
Government cannot decide not to refund your overpaid tax, that would require a retrospective change in tax legislation
