refund of PAYE for starting your own business

Hi,

I heard that you can get a percentage of PAYE paid in the last 4 years as a grant to start up a business. I can't find anything on it. Can anyone point me to a good link.

Also FAS used to offer start your own business grants to people who are on the dole - the grant was roughly equivalent to dole payments. I couldn't find any mention of that on the FAS website. Has anyone any experience of that?

Lots of conditions to qualify.
 
Thanks for that. Lots of conditions all right but all doable - as long as you've paid PAYE for past 4 years.

Be careful! - you could spend weeks doing the paperwork, and still not get the money. In the meantime your viable business goes bust.
