2 weeks ago I returned a dress to a large department store & a refund was processed onto my credit card. The problem is 2 weeks on & the refund hasn't appeared on my card & I've lost the refund receipt so I have no way of proving the transaction.
Is it worth bothering to explain the situration to a manager given that I don't have a receipt? I know the date the refund was processed.
Similar happened to me recently in another store but I had the receipt & they were able to look into it & advised there had been a system error that day & were very apologetic.
Not sure if they'll laugh me out of the store without the receipt though :-(
