Refund issued through paypal, however goods not collected

Hi,

I bought an item via ebay, which was faulty, i recieved a refund via paypal.
The comany said they would collect the faulty item and despite repeatedly trying to contact them i have got no response, its been over a month now and i am wondering if i can just bin the item or how long i have to hold onto it ?

Any advice appreciated.

Afaik you must give them a resonable amount of time/notification to collect the item. You could contact them and say if you don't collect it in the next 2 weeks you are throwing it out. Depending on its value, it may not be worthwhile for them to collect it.
 
thanks for reply... i have emailed them to prompt them to collect it but no response and am concerned that i will dump it abd then get a request for collection.
I was wondering if there is a legal 'reasonable time period'.

If its not too bulky just put it in the attic to be sure, to be sure. They may get their act together and come looking for it at some stage.
