Is there any website which gives brief highlights of various years - similar to the TV programme 'reeling in the years.' I have been asked to do a brief rundown of major events year by year going back to 1967
You could also have a glance at those "year of birth" based birthday cards that provide newsworthy/trivia items on the year concerned - some things may not be covered on the RTE site.
You could also try the Irish Times digital archive, although it is a premium service on their website I understand that it is freely available in libraries (or at least that was what it said in the Irish Times when they reported the launch)
