In a situation where an employer is paying statutory redundancy, for a permanent salaried employee with over 2 years employment & with a 1 month notice period, where the employee is made redundant with immediate effect, is their a payment made in lieu of notice?

If so is it 1 month full salary as per their contract period of notice? Furthermore, what's the impact of untaken holidays - e.g. if employee has accumulated to date and carried over days total of 10 days. Will the employer in effect pay 1.5 months?

Re: Redundancy without notice - what effect?

Found the notice period answer:

http://www.entemp.ie/employment/redundancy/faq.htm#faq32

2 weeks notice for an employee with two to five years’ service (an employee needs at least two years service to qualify for redundancy). 4 weeks notice for an employee with five to ten years service, six weeks notice for employees with ten to fifteen years notice and 8 weeks notice for employees with more than 15 years notice.2 weeks notice for an employee with two to five years’ service (an employee needs at least two years service to qualify for redundancy). 4 weeks notice for an employee with five to ten years service, six weeks notice for employees with ten to fifteen years notice and 8 weeks notice for employees with more than 15 years notice.

Would outstanding holidays be paid on top of that?
