I work part time (4 mornings a week). I have recently learned, unofficially, that along with some other redundancies that are to be sought in the company, my job is to become a full time position (4 days in my area and the 5th in another area). I am presuming therefore that the p/t position I have will be made redundant? I will probably be offered the full time job but with childcare etc. am not sure whether I can take it.
I am there 2 years and 4 months. Am I entitled to any redundancy? Also, I took 6 wks unpaid leave in my first year so I think that breaks my service?
Finally, how much notice should I get about these proposed changes etc?
