I was made redundant 10 weeks ago (received redundancy from Department last week as company couldn't pay). I was 18years with this company.

Company is still struggling but hanging in there, (it can survive as costs have been cut to minimum & it was a thriving business per recession), they can give me a few days work (but not regular hours or regular days each week & cannot guarantee work every week). Role would include duties that I used to do plus work in additional duties, money would be alot lower than before. I am getting Job Seekers Benefit at present & will not be entitled to anything when means tested, by working I would have the chance of building up my stamps again.

Can I take up this offer of irregular work and go on short-time with SW or will I lose my redundancy.

All I want to do is work any hours that I can get but I have to think of my family.

Of course you can take up any work you cam get anywhere. Make sure to keep in contact with SW to notify them each time that you have a few days work and when the work ends contact them immediately to sign back on.
BTW no loss of recundancy
