Hi all,
I recieved notice from my employer on 14/08/08 that my position would be redundant with effect from 12/09/08 & that I would recieve statutory redunancy. I have worked with the company for 11years and am very willing to accept redundancy.
A couple of things Im wondering -
* Given my length of service I am entitled to six weeks notice, is my employer obligued to pay me the 2 weeks difference in lieu?
* Am I legally entitled to ask for a breakdown of my redundancy payment entilement in writing prior to the expiry of my notice period? My company have never been straight forward with paying out, I would feel better about it if I had in writing.
* Lastly (for now!!), if my employer were to request me to work an extra week or two after the expiry of my notice already issued, would I be obligued to do so??
Thanks in advance!
