My mother worked for a DIY shop. She was part time and still claimed some money from social welfare.
She's been on the books in the "Job" for about 5 years roughly, But over the last year she has not worked 1 day as there has been no work, The shop has been open with only 1-2 people working in there, 2 weeks ago the place shut down and the owner can't pay any redundancy. I know the state normally pays it then.
But she's asking me to find out the following.
1st: As she's not worked there but been on the books for the last year is she entitled to Redundancy ?
2nd: Can part timer workers get Redundancy ?
3rd: If yes to the above, What amount would she be entitled to ?
