redundancy entitlement after 11 months?

my friend was let go from her job as a nanny, the woman just gave her a weeks notice, told her on monday that she is finishing friday....what is she entitle to as regards to redundancy payment etc as shes been working there for 11 months....everything is above board her employer (the mum) has been paying her prsi and deducting tax....

any ideas? as i think the woman is trying to screw her, she was talking about giving her 1000 euros which wouldn't be 3 weeks wages....
 
She won't be entitled to any redundancy if she has only been employed for 11 months and to be fair to the employer €1000 in my opinion is not to be scoffed at.
 
oh alright i just thought she might b entitled to something....
