i varnished my solid timber floor in my sitting and dining area about 10 mths ago. I Used a clear varnish but am not happy with the finish i.e. colour.
I sanded the whole floor previous to varnishing it, is it now possible to return and varnish the floor now with a light oak varnish and just sand the entire floor with a fine griter sandpaper prior just to provide a key or does it need to be redone in its entirity.( get the dust sheets out and tape up all doors etc)???
Also there is a joint between the 2 rooms where i stopped and started not a good idea in hindsight as its very obvious ( theres a dark line going across where the saddle of the door/arch would be.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
