P PaddyBloggit Registered User Messages 3,745 27 Jul 2013 #2 That's no problem. Lightly sand first, clean with white spirits and varnsih. Do it promptly .... if you leave them unvarnished for too long the sun will discolour the boards (especially noticeable if you leave something on the boards).

S S.L.F Guest 6 Oct 2013 #3 If you have cellulose or meths thinners and use that for cleaning it will dry faster and you can paint a bit quicker. I recommend using an oil based varnish for finishing the boards.
