Hi
I have a property with a washer dryer. In the last 2 years I’ve had multiple issues with it and at one stage replaced. Now another issue again. I’ve no idea what they’re doing !
Simple question- can I remove washer dryer and replace with washing machine because I’ve had enough .
Cheers guys

Are you a tenant?

The washer/dryer is the property of the landlord ...

Are you proposing to replace it with a washing machine at your expense?
The landlord may not agree as a washer/dryer is probably a better option when he re-rents the property again

The poster appears to be a landlord.

As long as there is an outside space to dry clothes you don't have to provide a tumble dryer.

I'd put money on it though that tenants will start to dry clothes inside and that will cause you problems.

Separate washing machibe and dryer are generally more reliable. You could stack them if space is tight.

You are not required to provide a dryer where there is outside space.

As Danny says, they are more likely to dry clothes inside in the absence of a dryer. That said though, with rising energy costs they are likely to do this anyway to save on electricity bills.
