Recruiting agency

Hi Guys

Just looking for advice. Currently employed. but have V Long commute. last friday i posted CV on line. got calls from couple of agency's if I would be interested in different roles etc.
I said I would to two different roles.

My Query is will the agency only get back to me if i get an interview???
Or will they also ring to say 'no your not what they are looking for' ????

Mostly yes they will only ring if you have an interview, a lot of employers at the moment posting jobs end with "we do not require the assistance of agencies at this time" I know we have posted a few jobs in the last year and we get enough quality cvs directly so all I would say is if your in the Market for a job send your own cv directly where possible

Yes I understand your point but I have not started 'actively' looking for a new job.
Agency's have contacted me to ask if I was interested. would have thought even a quick email to say no interview would have being the norm since they initiated contact.

You either are or are not interested - Seems like you havent made your mind up.
If you are interested and want to change job, call the agent, otherwise they will forget about you.
You may be one of 50 people they approached and if the other 49 are keener than you, the agent will not chase you and you will not be contacted again.
