Hi,

Would greatly appreciate recommendations for good campsite for children aged 14 and 11 in the Vendee or Brittany areas of France. Leaning towards Le Clarys Plage in Vendee? Has anybody any experience of the latter campsite? Would prefer to book chalet or apartment rather than mobile home but that may not be an option at this late stage. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried asking the same question here: [broken link removed]
As a Web-site/forum it's probably more suited to answering your query - there are already planty of responses to very similar questions there.

Just back from 2 weeks in Le Clarys Plage - Very nice, stayed in a top spec mobile home with all mod cons. We also looked at some other sites in the area while there and this looked the best around. Kids aged 14 and 11 should enjoy.

Vendee Holiday

Was in Clarys Plage 3 yrs ago with 3 kids .Very well run site-probably best in area.Hello France -Cork crowd have v nice mobiles.Ask for Derry, boss.Tell him a nice Dub sent ya.

Just back from Clary le Plage. Booked through Charles Alexander as got a great offer on a 6 person home when mailing them directly (Jodie is the girl.). Very well run site and most important they show all the live GAA games on the Saturday and Sunday and will even put on The Sunday Game also (big big plus for this)

Plenty to do in the area and loads of beaches.

Loved Atlantic Toboggan( a bit old but fewer queues), Quad loc was good for quadding but our favourite was the FEELING FOREST - 8 different zip wire trails, tough but great fun and exercise.

Thanks for all that replied.

Any harm to ask what you paid for accomodation and was it a 2 or 3 bed mobile. Did you book far in advance ?

Le Ranelion in Northern Brittany is a great site but a fair walk to the beach and an hour and a half from the ferry. La Plage in Southern Brittant isn't as big but a white sand beach on the doorstep. Going to Les Pierres Couchees in a weeks time on the border of Vendee and Loire, fingers crossed it'll be a good one.
