Recommendations for Architect Technician/ structural engineer

Anyone have any advice on finding/recommending a architect technician or structural engineer for a small extension ?Planning on getting wall knocked between kitchen and dining room and kitchen extended

So far I've only tried to contact builders who have their 'own' structural engineers. I would love to get architect who is reasonablely priced to manage the job so if you can recommend one you found good I am all ears.

What part of the country are you in? May help with some of the responses...
 
If RSJ is over 10ft you need an structural engineer and a steel supplier who is certified.
