Recommendations for an Irish Road Legal E-Scooter

I'm hoping to buy an e-scooter for my adult daughter for her upcoming birthday. Looking to spend €400-€500. Liked the look of Segway E2, E2 Plus or F2 scooters however it appears from the Segway site that these are not road legal in Ireland possibly due to max speed being 25km/hr as opposed to 20km/h and possibly for some Segway models due to front and rear lights not being present or the motor power being >400W. Does anyone have any model recommendations that are Ireland Road Legal. Ideally would like a range of >30km. Also are there any recommendations for an online store or Dublin based bricks n mortar store to purchase e-scooters ?

I don't think there's any road legal scooters in Ireland at all.
Unless there were some recent changes in legislation, e scooters are not road legal.
E bike or e motorbike might be your (more expensive) alternative

Yes there was legislative change in May 2024

Halfords do them I think and also Loco scooters: https://locoscooters.ie/

Safety considerations aside, I wouldn't worry too much about what's legal or what isn't. The whole e-Scooter, e-Bike thing seems to be like the Wild West out there, with zero enforcement and not much chance of any...

A young lad whizzed past me on the inside near St Anne's Park, Raheny during the summer. I was driving at around the speed limit - so he was doing over 50kmph...

Yep, there's been a tsunami of news stories about eScooters in recent months...I would predict we're going to see a lot more (eBikes too.)
