Uhh, it really depends on the position you apply for, office work, sales, accountancy? Unfortunately, I have not made very good experiences. If you have any ideas which company you want to work for, I'd recommend to apply direct and research via the internet. The agencies try to fill gaps and work according to their commission rather than taking a real interest in the employees skills. Very often they'd point the finger to Dublin, so many friends have left Cork for Dublin where they were offered better career prospects, it's a shame.
There are any number of agencies in Cork, some better than others, but I've found that it's the person you deal with, not the agency itself, that you need to worry about.
I can give you a couple of recommendations based on agencies I've used (including the ones to avoid!) if you can give a bit more info about the type of position you're seeking.
I have experience and would be able to work in any of the following areas - company secretarial - property management - corporate compliance - office management.

La Creme have a substantial presence in the Cork market for this type of work, but make sure you speak to someone who genuinely tries to match your interests and skills to suitable roles, instead of bunging you in any old role just to get their commission. If you approach La Creme, ask to meet with Jacquie Casey - she has matched some very good staff for us in the past.
