Recommendation on best bank to move currency to New Zealand.

I am totally air headed when it comes to the following Q. mayby have to do it once in my lifetime. but some of you guys posting on here might have encountered this before:confused: I wil soon want to transfer money from the sale of my property to a bank in NewZealand, so if my money was still in this country while i am living in NZ to transfer money when currency is right, i wonder which is the best bank in Ireland i should choose that i could trust to carry out this procedure while i am in NZ or what is the process involved. Looking into this in advance.:confused:
 
Have you moved this yet? Irish banks are very expensive for transfer. Firstnzcapital is an NZ bank which can hold accounts in foreign currency and transfer when you wish. Website seems to be hving problems. We opened an account through a frinancial advisor in NZ so I am not sure if you can just open one as an individual. Transfers are made at bank rates and balances earn interest until you transfer.

Once the money is in NZD if you are not making immediate purchase, then Raboplus (online savings bank) seems to give best rates consistently (you do need to likt this to a traditional bank account for transfers though.
 
call around the banks, also contact xe.com and currency.ie
and see what the best rate is
