Recommend Family Hotel 2 Adults & 3 Kids

Hi,

Just looking for an inexpensive hotel in Ireland for 2 adults and 3 kids aged 8, 6, &3. Ideally not a huge distance from Dublin (say waterford/ wexford or galway/ cork, but not north donegal or mizen head....). Need to have either 2 interconnecting rooms or failing that self catering accom on site of hotel, and got to have a leisure centre in view of the irish weather. Seems inpossible to get hotels with interconnecting rooms....

Ideally would like some kind of Dinner / B&B package for the 5 of us rather than have to cook, as wife is due 4th kid in 6 weeks time.

Any ideas?

Had an interconnecting room in the Raheen Woods in Athenry, Co. Galway.

Had a lovely time there roomwise and leisure centre there, also underground carpark and attached children's playcentre that you pay extra for. Staff all very pleasant and professional. However food def needs attention there. Reviews on tripadvisor can be checked.

A quick phonecall/email and Im sure they'd have some sort of package for you all. Good luck in your search and enjoy the break away.

I've just come back from 2 nights in the Hodson Bay in Athlone. Only 1 hour down the road, we booked a 2 night family deal for 2 adults and 3 children. €395 for 2nts B&B, 1 dinner, kids club and a boat trip. Just by chance we got a family room that had 2 seperate rooms which was great with the baby. Lovely pool and kiddies pool. didn't use the spa but the restaurant was lovely too. Glendeer Pet farm is just over the road and a great day out aswell. Highly recommend.
