Recommend brand of varnish please

Plan to varnish front door and looking for recommendations on what brand of varnish to use. Previously I have used Translac, primarily for internal use. It will be for a clear finish.

The door is baltic/scandanavian pine (Swedex)... yeah, I know... and the current coating, which may be water based, is peeling. There is some water damage where the coating has peeled.

Apart from the brand, I presume polyurethane is best, although I'd be keen to hear about any other types that are suitable for external use.

Make sure you wait until the weather is a good deal warmer......any dampness in the air right now...ie mornings and evenings....could affect drying properties of the varnish.
