Recommend b/w laser for Linux Mint

My old Canon finally died. Now looking at mono lasers. There are sites that list Linux-compatible hardware but printer models frequently not available in the stores.

Can anyone recommend a b/w laser printer, for home use, with reasonable-priced replacement toner cartridges that runs on Linux Mint/Ubuntu?
