Recommend an *independent* pensions adviser in Galway

A group of employees (around 20) in a Galway company are looking to employ the services of a good independent pensions adviser — not a salesman — to advise on an existing DB scheme and a proposed DC scheme.

Can anyone recommend someone or point me in the right direction.

Just to point out, the original link was from Clubman (Total Posts: 15,162 (33.04 posts per day) so looking for more posts could be a heavy task).

Searching the site for Independent Advisers has seldom received many first hand suggestions. A few threads point to where listings can be found, but very little contribution from people with knowledge of the individual advisors. (simply search for "independant advisor" and you'll see what I mean)

If your willing to do a bit of looking and make your own decision the link below may help identify some local advisors. I've no attachments to PIBA or any of the advisors listed.

This was in relation to a comment made by the OP which was later removed. Yes, the link clearly leads to Mr. Geraghty's information, I never ment it to suggest otherwise. Apologies if it did.

Again, this was in relation to the OP looking for additional information from posters with more posts to date than yourself. I was hoping to show the OP that seldom is information on IAAs forthcoming so when someone (yourself in this case) is able to provide it I wouldn't overlook deaming it an "unreliable source".

Sorry ubiquitous and setanta — I think Setanta is referring to a reply I posted, which I subsequently edited and was since removed. A bit of stupidity on my part I'm afraid — I had been looking for somebody with a higher post count than ubiquitous (silly old me looking at the reply number instead of posts!!) and then realised he's a frequent poster.
