Recommend an account with some access and reasonable returns?

Hi all,

First time poster, looking for advice. We will be getting some money through from an inheritance that we are hoping to use as a deposit for a house. Hoping to buy sometime within the next 6-12 months. Can anyone recommend an account that would give a reasonable interest rate, but will allow access (even with some kind of written notice)?

We are currently selling our own house and in the process of packing up with three little ones, so no time to research this!
