My dad is travelling to the British Open in July and am looking for recommendations for budget accommodation in or around Southport. In previous years he has stayed in university accommodation which he really liked as it meant he met other people who were travelling to see the golf (plust it was very reasonably priced!). I'm not familiar with the area at all so any pointers would be most helpful!
