Recommend a Holiday destination please

Hi All,

6 of us ( 3 couples ) Late twenties & early thirtys were looking for a week away in July. I want to avoid the ibiza like resorts full of lager louts etc but still want a bit of nightlife,pubs & entertainment.
I have been to Puerto del carmen and loved it but there isnt much to do there in my opinion to warrant a second trip so soon.
Theme parks would also be nice.

Sorrento, Italy - easy to visit Pompei, Capri, Naples, Rome etc
 
Yes something cheap in Europe, looking more for a sun holiday

Try Nerja ,East of Malaga about 30 miles has most of what other Spanish resorts offer ,beaches ,good bars and restaurants but very few Lager louts.
 
Madeira is my favourite destination, but then I am a little older than you, and there are no beaches, the weather is perfect not too hot, pratically zero crime rate, and lots to see and do.

I would second that.. if it's a short break. If there are 6 of you Barcelona has something for everybody. It wouldn't be cheap if you're going for a week though. Greek Islands would be highly recommended by me, for whatever that's worth to you.
