Hi my above has given up the ghost and I'm lost without it!!
I have about 100euros to spend on one!
A basic enough one would do me but with so mant different varieties I dont know where to start.
I really don't need one with a whipper or soup maker as I have those separate machines.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated...Thanks

I'd say a Moulinex basic version would serve you well - sorry, no idea of models no.s etc but I'm basing my opinion on a simple one we got 10 years ago - still fine.

I'd go for a strong motor, mine is 400 watts and its very underpowered.
I'd always buy one that takes up as little room as possible, some have the motor in the bottom with the bowl on top, neater than the side by side ones.

Hi,
I would agree with Caveat - our Moulinex one is going really well after a good few years service.

Thanks folks!!! That Kenwood one looks great for the price and so many attachments but I wonder will they just end up as clutter... decisions, decisions!!!

Spend a few quid extra and get a magimix. Rolls royce of processors. on sale on amazon at the moment

get the most powerful (ie the dearest). Cheap ones will not liquidise vegatables.

I have had a Kenwood for the last 8 years- not the most expensive one, but still working well. Not sure what kind of usage would justify a rolls royce food processor for hundreds of euros ( apart from professional use of course). And yes get a box for the attachments and put it away. I have used the hacker, the slicer and grater.. that is it. For mixing I find a hand mixer a lot better as you have a lot more control.
