Recieving money into your bank acc in error

Hi everyone!
Im new to this site, just joined after reading a couple of interesting topics. Just wondering if anyone could help me, i had a little mistake happen with my bank account a few weeks ago.. somebody lodged money into my account by mistake but i havent heard anything about it.... does anybody know what happens in this situation, or has anybody been in this situation before? any help at all would be great!

Just advise your bank of the error and they will transfer it back to the person who sent it.

When the bank discover it they are intitled to get it back so you should let them know about it.
