Hi,
I am 24, I was placed on a four week layoff (after which I know 100% that we will all be let go) on Monday with immediate effect.
I have started my application for Jobseekers Benefit
Question 1. As there was no notice period given am I entitled to be paid in lieu of notice period after the 4 weeks is up?
I am single, live alone in a rented apartment that is my parents second residence, I pay all bills which are in my name I also pay the maintainance fees associated with the apartment.
Q2. Is there any other benefit I can apply for? The rent I paid to my parents was not declared.
Q3. Am I right in thinking that as I am claiming Jobseekers Benefit, i.e. the one based on my stamps, I should receive full benefit (earnings dependent) regardless of my age?
If anyone knows the answer to one or more of these questions I'd great appreciate a response.
