Receiving Money From A Paypal Account

Hi,

I have a paypal account set up and have used it several times to pay people, however I am looking at selling some stuff on E Bay and am wondering do I need to do anything different with the account or will the money they send me just get credited to my Visa card.

If say a friend from the U.S. sent me 500 dollars to my paypal a/c -what fee would I be charged? It would be free for him?
 
not very clear 5.4% and €0.35 and then is it another 2% aprox. to change from us dollars to euro? If you got alot of u.s. dollar payments then maybe it would be better to have your accont in us dollars instead of euro -what you's think?
