Hello

Currently looking at a property just South of Slane that comes with an option to buy 10 acres.

Looking for insight into a couple of issues.
1. What's a reasonable price per acre for agricultural land? Field is currently being used for grazing. It appears to be good land.
2. What could I do with 10 acres? Long term I'd like to have it there to allow for horses but that's many years down the road. What would you expect to get from a farmer from it? Any other ideas?
3. Is a bank likely to have any issues with me buying this? Have approval for a residential mortgage.

Thanks

Agricultural land is worth about 10k per acre. If u have good road frontage and the posibity of another site in the future then perhaps a little more. You could rent the land out but the income would b v small. I know there used to be a grant for forestry circa 200 per acre per year for 25 years or something similar.
