Rear window defogger connection broke off

Hi,
My rear window defogger is not working the connector is broken off. I thought a simple resin could be used to connect it back while maintaining the current to keep defogger working, but guy at windshield centre told me, I need a new rear window cost €200. Car is '99 Almera.

Anyone know if there are any other options?

If you can physically stick the connector to the glass with adhesive then you should be able to extend the electrical connection using a heated rear window repair kit, which you can buy in car accessory shops or on eBay such as [broken link removed].
