Doess anyone know where in Ireland or on the net I can buy a rear facing car seat for a child up to 3 years old.?
In Norway and Sweden as well as Australia all kids sit rear facing until about three I believe.
It supposed to be safer !

I've never heard of a child as old as three sitting rear-faced in a car. I have three kids under 4 and I cannot for the life of me see how you could possibly put my a 20 month old into a car in a rearfacing position.
This would suggest that the law in Australia is broadly similar to here:
