Re: Sound proofing Upstairs Partitions

Am nearly ready to slab upstairs in my new house and was wondering what is the best stuff to put in to the stud partitions to prevent heat loss and to prevent sound transfer.

Also i am pumping the cavity in the wall 110mm. Has anyone put insulated slab inside this and how has it worked or is it not worth doing.

Any one got any ideas as i will be doing it in the next two weeks and in need of advice.

Thats one of the bestways to do a sound proof stud. good luck getting your carpenter to do it though.
