Hi All,

Trying to decide whether to pump fill the cavity between blocks on my build. Can anybody tell me if there is a down side to this. Can water get across the cavity or any other problems with it. Blocks going up next week so starting to panic. Got a quote from polypearl for 3500 for a 6" cavity seems a bit OTT, does anybody know how much it would cost per sp m for 100 Kingspan OR WHICH IS A BETTER JOB.

Cheers,

I intend using polypearl to fill cavity in extension to house that was built in 1975.Minimum quote they do is 600 euro.If you are only in the process of block laying I would avoid polypearl and use kingspan as you build.I am only using polypearl because building is already in place.

There are a lot of previous threads on cavity wall insulation that you might get some advice from.

If you ring SEI and explain your urgency they might be able to help. They can get one of their advisers to call you but it usually takes a few days.

Best of luck with the build.
