Does anyone know if a management company can prevent you from renting a room in your apartment. I noticed in the contract that it says that you cannot sublet or assign any part of demised premises to anybody. I am down as an owner occupier purchaser and there is a reference to the fact that I must comply with stipulations of Finance Act 2004. I am bit worried about this as want to either rent a room or may want to rent whole apt in future. The contract with the management company goes back to land registery is that correct? It seems like they can stipulate a lot of things about your dwelling. Is this normal? The fee is also €960 per year, is this average or more?
