I'll try to explain this as simply as I can.
My mother is living in the family home, her mother died over 20 years ago, before she died there was legal paperwork completed where the house was signed over to herself and another sibling, this was not completed although all parties did sign the legal documents, (I think at the time stamp duty was to paid and the money was not there).
The other sibling lived in the house until their death 4 years ago at which time my mother moved in to the house. The problem is the other siblings who knew about their own mothers wishes, we are not sure whether they have a legal claim to the house or is there any way to sort out ownership of the house?? Also my mother has invested a lot of money renovating this house to modern standards.
